About the Role

This position is dedicated to the protection of UC Health associates, patients, visitors, as well as our buildings, grounds, and vehicles. You will serve as the frontline guardian of our facilities, enforcing rules and regulations to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Your day will involve patrolling properties by foot, bike, or vehicle, responding to alarm activations, and handling radio-dispatched calls. You will act as a professional ambassador, treating all patients, visitors, and associates with fairness, courtesy, and respect. Beyond routine patrols, you will investigate and document criminal or unusual activity, crisis incidents, and policy violations, ensuring all reports are clear, accurate, and professional. You will also conduct regular safety inspections of fire extinguishers and panic alarm systems, identifying and reporting potential hazards to maintain compliance with safety standards.

Hiring Process

Candidates must be willing to obtain the IAHSS security officer certification within 12 months of employment. The role requires the ability to act under stress and maintain high moral standards while working in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements
