The Security Officer supports Scripps Health by performing duties that provide a reasonably safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, medical staff, and property. As a visible deterrent to criminal activity, you will actively patrol assigned areas and ensure that policies and procedures are carried out, reporting any non-compliance.
In this role, you will respond to emergency situations and, when appropriate, provide guidance for the safe management of the situation while communicating with leadership as necessary. Your work will be accomplished under the direction of security leadership, demonstrating a work style that reflects the mission, vision, and values of Scripps Health.
This is a full-time position (64 hours bi-weekly) with benefit eligibility. The role is located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in Hillcrest and covers varied shifts.
