About the Role
This position serves as the frontline of aviation security, acting as a visible deterrent to unauthorized access while ensuring the safety of employees, visiting personnel, and client assets. The role exists to uphold the highest standards of vigilance and professionalism at security posts.
In this capacity, you will maintain a commanding presence and demonstrate constant awareness. Your day involves conducting post and equipment inspections, reviewing pass-along information for new assignments, and verifying credentials to ensure badges are current and match the individual presenting them. You will be responsible for identifying and denying access to prohibited items, challenging individuals seeking entry to controlled areas, and performing vehicle inspections according to Standard Operating Protocols.
Beyond access control, you will serve as a resource for customers, employees, and visitors, providing directions and assistance in a courteous and professional manner. The role requires preparing legible daily logs, reports, and incident reports with adequate detail, as well as reporting any unusual or suspicious activity to management immediately. You will also be expected to make immediate emergency notifications when confronted with credible information and seek supervisory input as situations dictate.
