Join our team and become a part of something bigger – a force for change in the fight against hunger. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is more than just a food bank; we champion healthier lifestyles and positively impact social and economic change. Together, we create a stronger, more resilient New Jersey for everyone. Last year alone, our collective efforts provided over 90 million meals and 35 million pounds of fresh produce to neighbors in need.
As the Security Officer, you will ensure that all individuals entering the facility are warmly greeted and assisted. You will serve as a vital link in the protection, safeguarding, and security of company assets, team members, and the public. This role involves planning and coordinating activities to maintain a safe environment, conducting physical surveys of premises, and assisting with emergency management and contingency plans. You will also support internal investigations regarding losses or policy violations and collaborate with public law enforcement and fire agencies when necessary.
At CFBNJ, your work drives meaningful changes. We are rooted in a culture of caring that extends to our employees through comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, wellness programs, and generous time off. We offer 14 paid holidays, childcare resources, and organization-wide engagement days for rest and reflection. To support your growth, we provide access to our Learning Lab, workshops, online courses, and tuition assistance. We celebrate great work through our peer-recognition platform, Bonusly, and foster community through employee resource groups.
