About the Role
As a Security Engineer - Google, you will serve as a customer-facing cloud security expert, collaborating with account and specialty teams to assess cybersecurity needs. This role is designed to take a consultative approach to security projects, requiring a holistic understanding of how security technology enables business goals. You will represent the Google Security portfolio—including SecOps SIEM/SOAR, Threat Intelligence, Security Command Center, and Cloud Security—and will be responsible for introducing future solutions developed or acquired by Google.
In this position, you will develop and deliver new security services offerings to address customer requests and opportunities. You will act as a bridge between technical capabilities and business objectives, educating sales teams on cybersecurity solution selling and working directly with client stakeholders ranging from CIOs and CSOs to Security Engineers and procurement teams. Your day-to-day will involve staying current on market trends, developing use cases and demos in the SHI lab, and providing relevant customer-facing demonstrations and proof-of-concepts to support sales engagements.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for this role will be located near a major Google office hub in Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ, with proximity to major airports. The position requires travel to SHI, partner, and customer events.
