About the Role
Insight Global is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join a client in Virginia Beach, VA. This position serves as the frontline for the Global Service Desk (GSD), providing critical technical support for enterprise IT systems across multiple secure network environments. The role is essential to maintaining the continuity of mission-critical training and operational activities.
In this fast-paced, 24/7 environment, you will work closely with internal network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to troubleshoot user issues, manage account access, and ensure system availability. The day-to-day involves managing ticket queues, performing workstation imaging, and documenting resolutions to support a high-tempo operational landscape. This role may require shift work, on-call support, and participation in specific operational events.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMonitor and manage ticket queues within Jira or equivalent ITSM tools to ensure timely response and resolution
- check_circleTroubleshoot user issues related to access, hardware, software, and connectivity across multiple environments
- check_circleProcess account requests including creation, modification, and deactivation in accordance with security policies
- check_circleEscalate complex or unresolved issues to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams and track through completion
- check_circlePerform workstation imaging, setup, and deployment to support user onboarding and system readiness
- check_circleDocument troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and procedures in knowledge base systems such as Confluence
- check_circleSupport patching, software installation, and system updates as directed
- check_circleCoordinate with network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to resolve cross-functional issues
- check_circleMaintain audit-ready documentation for account management and system activities
- check_circleProvide technical support during operational events and high-tempo activities
- check_circleCommunicate effectively with users and stakeholders regarding issue status and resolution
- check_circleParticipate in 24/7 operational coverage, including shift work and on-call rotations as required
Requirements
