About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SDET (Automation) to lead quality engineering efforts for our SCMS domains, focusing on pricing, payments, and complex integration flows. In this 6-12 month contract role, you will define the shared automation strategy across API, integration, workflow, and regression testing. Your mission is to build release-certification standards, establish defect triage patterns, and create production-quality feedback loops that ensure data correctness in high-stakes environments.
This position is ideal for a leader who can mentor engineers and testers on specification quality, reusable automation, and defect-prevention practices. You will be expected to communicate quality risks clearly to both engineering and business stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical execution and business impact.
Agentic & AI-Enabled Expectations
As part of our evolving quality landscape, this role involves pioneering the use of agentic and AI-enabled systems. You will author guardrails for AI-generated tests, data fixtures, and release checks. Your responsibilities include utilizing agentic systems to draft test scenarios, analyze failures, and flag unsafe automation output. Additionally, you will create measurable quality metrics to demonstrate where AI improves speed and where human review remains mandatory.
Location & Work Model
This is a fully onsite position. The preferred location is Rocklin, CA. Alternatively, candidates based in San Francisco, CA are considered, provided they are available to work onsite 5 days per week.
Hiring Process
Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in Core Java, Selenium, and API Automations. The selection process will focus on verifying these core technical skills alongside leadership experience in quality engineering.
