Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct comprehensive interviews with students, families, and staff to assess behavioral needs
- check_circleCollaborate with community professionals to coordinate wrap-around support services
- check_circleConduct monthly classroom observations to ensure adherence to IEP and behavior plan goals
- check_circleProvide training and guidance to teachers on data management and transition planning
- check_circlePerform crisis assessments and coordinate immediate interventions to ensure student safety
- check_circleMaintain accurate documentation of student services, progress, and communication logs
- check_circleConnect students with external therapeutic resources and manage emergency transportation needs
- check_circleDevelop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- check_circleProvide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or family challenges
- check_circleAttend IEP team meetings to facilitate discussions and decision-making processes
Requirements
- verifiedMaster's degree or higher in social work or related field
- verifiedLicensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or in process of obtaining
- verifiedValid AZ state fingerprint card
- verifiedCrisis management training certification
- verifiedExperience with alternative education, special education, or behavioral health
- verifiedExperience with IEPs and BIPs
- verifiedKnowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and PBIS
- verifiedExperience with students with severe learning disabilities or emotional disturbance
