About the Role
The Behaviorist works one-on-one in a public school classroom with special needs clients whose behaviors impede learning. The primary mission is to deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to eliminate problematic behaviors and teach new, positive replacement behaviors. This role requires daily data collection and note-taking to track progress and inform ongoing interventions.
We serve clients ranging from Kindergarten through High School within the Los Angeles area. The position is available as a full-time role (30 hours per week, 5 days a week) or as a part-time role requiring availability for at least three days per week.
Hiring Process & Requirements
Candidates must complete approximately 52 hours of online training prior to starting. All applicants are required to be fingerprinted and TB cleared. A high school degree is the minimum educational requirement; however, the agency strongly prefers candidates with an Associate of Arts (AA) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in ABA, education, social work, or child development.
