Under the direction of the Patient Access Manager, the Scheduler serves as the compassionate first point of contact for our patients. This role is vital in presenting a professional phone impression while managing the logistics of patient care through our electronic health record (EHR) system.
You will be responsible for scheduling appointments in accordance with health center standards, managing patient expectations, and providing clear instructions for visits. The position requires conducting outbound calls, maintaining efficient scheduling times, and possessing a thorough understanding of our healthcare services to answer questions and direct calls appropriately.
A key aspect of this role is maintaining strict confidentiality and exercising sensitivity when dealing with sexuality and other sensitive client issues. You will also be expected to adhere to all Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, and CDHC policies and guidelines while participating in routine meetings and in-service trainings.
