BAE Systems is the wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, a top-ten global defense contractor employing around 100,000 people across 40 countries. We develop, engineer, manufacture, and support advanced technology-led solutions to protect national security and keep people safe.
Our Intelligence & Security (I&S) division, based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions. Our mission is to improve the future and protect lives by enabling the U.S. military and government to recognize, manage, and defeat threats through breakthrough technology and superior products.
We are currently supporting the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), a legacy partnership that has continued since the program's inception in the 1950s. SSP developed the first sea-based, underwater-launched Strategic Weapon System (SWS), which serves as the first leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. With over 70% of the nation's nuclear arsenal, this system is critical to maintaining world peace.
The program is currently developing the Columbia-class submarine and the next-generation D5LE2 weapon system. Projected to be operational through 2084, this program boasts a total lifespan of more than 120 years. As a decades-long sole-source partner, our team enjoys remarkable stability while experiencing significant growth, offering ample opportunity for professional development for capable individuals.
We are seeking an onsite Program Scheduling and Planning Integrator to support our work as a prime contractor on this high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system program. This role is vital for ensuring the execution and planning of technical program requirements through the administration and integration of multiple large, complex schedules into a cohesive Integrated Master Schedule.
In this position, you will serve as a central coordinator across various technical program teams. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing processes that support schedule planning using MS Project, SSI Tools, and Onepager. Your day-to-day work involves integrating project schedules to align with program milestones, creating consistent template files for tracking events across disconnected schedules, and building visualization products to communicate program health.
You will also manage the execution of schedule updates and baseline changes as a routine business process, establish schedule management standards across multiple program offices, and report on key metrics to evaluate program status. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex scheduling challenges while assisting other planners and schedulers.
This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled or a qualified pool of candidates is identified. Candidates are encouraged to apply through the official BAE Systems career portal.
