About the Role
We are seeking a Saw/Press Operator to join our team in New Orleans, LA. This position is essential to our daily operations, requiring you to operate CNC and manual saws efficiently while adhering to production schedules, shop orders, and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
In this role, you will review drawings, routings, and work instructions prior to production to prevent or reduce scrap. You will be responsible for transacting, issuing, preparing, and delivering completed products according to SOPs. The role also involves recommending and completing process improvements, as well as executing 5S initiatives to keep the department organized and clean daily.
Success in this position requires a self-managed individual who can troubleshoot and resolve issues independently. You will work flexible or overtime hours to meet production schedules and must be comfortable working under the stress of deadlines and downstream customer dates. The role is performed entirely on-site at the facility.
