About the Role
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with Fiori/UI5 expertise to join a dedicated team focused on modernizing its enterprise systems. This 12-month contract role is designed to bridge legacy SAP environments with modern user experiences, ensuring the Turnpike's operations remain efficient and scalable.
In this position, you will serve as a key technical contributor, developing and enhancing SAP applications using ABAP, OData, and Fiori/UI5 technologies. Your work will directly impact the commission's ability to manage complex data flows and user interactions. A significant portion of your day will involve building WRICEF objects while adhering to clean-core compliance standards, ensuring the system remains maintainable and robust.
You will also play a critical role in system integration, connecting SAP with ServiceNow and various external platforms. A unique aspect of this role involves developing Fiori applications specifically optimized for Zebra handheld scanning devices, enabling field operations to access critical data seamlessly. Beyond development, you will be involved in the full software lifecycle, supporting testing, documentation, deployments, and providing post-go-live support to ensure a smooth transition and sustained performance.
