The Safety Manager II serves as a pivotal leader within Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety program, providing management, direction, and support across multiple project teams and construction sites. This role exists to foster a culture of safety where every team member returns home safely every day. You will be the driving force behind the implementation of site-specific safety plans, collaborating closely with trade partners and joint-venture teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
In this position, you will not only oversee hazard assessments and incident investigations but also mentor safety staff and act as a key resource for safety standards. Your day-to-day involves monitoring onsite activities, analyzing safety statistics to identify trends, and leading improvement action plans. Success in this role requires building strong relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels while maintaining a proactive approach to risk management and project planning.
