The Safety Manager serves as a vital safety resource at the project, business unit, and corporate levels. This role is responsible for the safety performance and development of assigned business units and direct reports. You will regularly assess safety needs, utilizing resources to meet those demands while actively participating in the development of HITT's corporate safety program and culture.
In this position, you will act as a technical resource to the safety department and site operations, evaluating inspection performance and mentoring teams on safety processes. Your day-to-day involves conducting on-site safety inspections, analyzing hazard and incident data to identify trends, and leading crisis or accident response investigations. You will also enforce safety requirements, develop safety orientations, and collaborate with project teams to execute safety stand-downs and preconstruction planning.
