About the Role

As a Rover Pet Sitter or Dog Walker, you provide essential care services to pets in your community. This role allows you to operate independently as a pet care provider, and manage your own business as a pet care professional through the Rover platform.

Day in the Life

Your day involves providing comprehensive care for pets, which may include dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding pets, refilling water, cleaning litter boxes, and food, cleaning litter boxes, and picking up waste. A key part of the role is providing companionship and ensuring the well-being of the animals in your care. When requested, you may also provide overnight pet sitting services.

Communication with pet owners is a vital component of the job. You will keep owners informed by sending updates and photos throughout the day, ensuring they have peace of mind while they are away. Additionally, you are responsible for managing your own schedules and setting your service rates directly through the Rover platform, giving you full control over your availability and pricing.
