About the Role
As a Rover pet sitter or dog walker, you provide essential care services to pets in your community. Your role involves a variety of tasks including dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding pets, refilling water, cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste, providing companionship, and offering overnight pet sitting when requested. You serve as a trusted partner to pet owners, ensuring their animals are well-cared for while they are away.
How It Works
You operate independently as a pet care provider through the Rover platform. You have full autonomy to manage your own schedules and set your own service rates. Communication with pet owners is facilitated through the platform, where you send updates and photos to keep owners informed about their pets' well-being.
Earnings and Benefits
You set your own rates, with earnings typically equivalent to $15–$25+ per hour. In addition to your base rates, you may earn additional income through customer tips and holiday booking bonuses.
