Expand Energy is a dynamic, growing exploration and production company focused on discovering and developing large, geographically diverse unconventional oil and natural gas assets onshore in the United States. Our core values—Stewardship, Character, Collaborate, Learn, and Disrupt—serve as the lens through which we evaluate every business decision. We believe our employees are our most valued assets and the foundation of our performance among competitors.
The Roughneck is a vital member of the rig floor team, primarily responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing drilling machinery and equipment. Working under the direct supervision of the Driller, you will perform maintenance and minor repairs in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves assisting the Floorman with rig floor duties, helping the Assistant Driller (Derrickman) with mud-mixing tasks, and executing emergency procedures when necessary. You will also be responsible for rigging up and down activities and handling the "nippling up" or "nippling down" of the blowout preventer stack. Ensuring all work complies with company policies and safety regulations is a key part of your daily responsibilities.
We seek applicants from all backgrounds to ensure we attract the best, most creative talent. Historically, underrepresented groups have felt the need to be 100% qualified before applying; however, if you meet any combination of our requirements, we encourage you to apply. We strive to hire people from a wide variety of backgrounds because it makes our company stronger.
Expand Energy takes necessary action to ensure that all applicants are treated without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, pregnancy, military or veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as established by law.
