About the Role

As a Driver – CDL (B), you will be the face of Republic Services in your local community, responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. This role is critical to our local operations, ensuring that customers receive reliable service while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.

Your day will involve performing comprehensive pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure all safety equipment and controls are in proper working order. You will navigate designated routes, following maps and route sheets to service customers efficiently, while interacting professionally with clients, dispatchers, and supervisors. A key part of your responsibility is maintaining the operational readiness of your vehicle by completing daily condition reports and addressing any defects immediately. You will also monitor waste for unacceptable materials, manage accidental spills according to safety protocols, and actively participate in the Company's ReSOP safety program. This position requires a sense of pride in your work, strong time management skills, and the ability to follow through on challenges as they arise.
