Alpha is launching a Transportation Engineering Division focused on smarter mobility, safer roadways, and innovative transportation solutions. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level and help influence how communities move.
The Roadway Design Engineer will support the design and development of transportation projects, with a focus on highway and roadway planning and design for state and local agency clients. You will contribute to the preparation of concept plans, roadway plans, corridor modeling, and engineering documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality transportation projects. This position supports projects from concept development through final design and provides opportunities for professional growth within the transportation team.

Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Project. Experience preparing graphics and reports for concept studies. Experience with Virginia Department of Transportation design standards, manuals, and plan preparation requirements. Experience working on projects for Maryland Department of Transportation. Familiarity with DOT CADD standards and ProjectWise. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain.
