At AAA Northeast, helping and serving is a way of life. As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: creating the best experiences for our members. This commitment has earned us the trust of millions and established AAA Northeast as a resilient and reliable brand for over a century. We are proud to be rated a top employer and best place to work across the Northeast year over year, and we are deeply committed to giving back to the community.
We foster a diverse culture where team members bring their whole selves to work, valued for their unique talents, skills, and passions. As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate in recruiting, hiring, or promotion based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, gender identity, disability, or any other protected class.
The Roadside Service Tech I-Tow is the face of AAA on the road, responsible for providing safe, best-in-class roadside solutions while ensuring positive member experiences. You will be the first point of contact for members in distress, responding to service requests within a given ETA to resolve their issues efficiently.
Your day will involve more than just technical repairs; it is about de-escalating emotional situations. You will locate members, greet them with empathy, and provide reassurance to those who are angry, fearful, or anxious. Whether you are performing minor mechanical assistance like jump starts or tire changes to get a vehicle back on the road, or safely towing disabled vehicles to repair facilities, your goal is complete resolution of the member's issue. You will also educate members on AAA products and services, such as battery replacements, and coordinate with Dispatch to arrange travel alternatives like hotel or rental car reservations.
This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal face-to-face contact with other team members, adapting to a 24/7 operation that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. You will maintain the high standard of service and image that defines the AAA brand, ensuring your service vehicle and equipment are in safe working order and that all safety procedures are strictly followed.
To join our team, candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license issued by a single state or jurisdiction. A motor vehicle record check is required during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment. While a High School Diploma or GED is required, post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting are preferred.
