About the Role
As a PRN Wound Care RN, you will be responsible for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for a select group of patients specializing in wound and ostomy care. Your work focuses on the proper management of wounds resulting from disease, injury, or medical treatments. You will treat and monitor various types of wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, decubitus ulcers, feeding tube sites, and abscesses.
In this role, you will access wounds, create and implement treatment plans, monitor for infections, and perform wound cleaning. You will utilize advanced skills to assess symptoms requiring the management of complex wounds. Additionally, you will play a key educational role by teaching other healthcare members about proper wound care practices.
