As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Weekend Program for Acute General Medicine/Telemetry, you become the engine and heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. You will make a positive difference every single day in the lives of our patients, their family members, and visitors, going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect, and compassion.
The Acute General Medicine/Telemetry Unit (5400/5500) provides specialized care for patients facing a combination of substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and complex medical conditions. This unit offers RNs a valuable opportunity to develop and refine their clinical skills in managing patients with cardiac conditions requiring telemetry, diabetes, kidney disease and dialysis, pulmonary issues, and those requiring care involving multiple drips, drains, and catheters. RNs on 5400/5500 play a key role in delivering high-quality, holistic care to a diverse and medically complex patient population.
The Weekend Program requires employees to work all scheduled hours between 7am Friday and 7am Tuesday for a minimum of 26 weeks. Employees are eligible to remain in the program permanently or, after the 26-week minimum commitment, return to a different schedule and shift. In addition to the Weekend Only add-on pay, employees in the program remain eligible for applicable premium pay, including shift differential and overtime.
