These principles serve as the foundation for every action taken by our employees, ensuring that care is delivered with the highest level of professionalism and empathy.
As a Registered Professional Nurse (RN), you will be an integral member of our healthcare team, upholding the YNHHS mission and strategic initiatives to provide exceptional, patient-centered care. This role requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as the ability to assist in pushing, pulling, and lifting patients ranging from 5 to 300 pounds. You will work in an environment where you may be exposed to infectious diseases and the physical, mental, and emotional challenges of patient care, including end-of-life conditions. The position involves moderate stress and a risk of injury inherent to direct patient care.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. All newly hired registered nurses must hold current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification or obtain it within one month of hire. You must be a licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.
