The Special Procedures Registered Nurse serves as an integral member of the Medical Imaging/Radiology team, delivering quality nursing care to inpatient and outpatient clients across the lifespan. This role is designed for a nurse prepared to handle the dynamic nature of imaging and interventional procedures, managing both routine diagnostics and unexpected emergencies.
In this position, you will function within general diagnostic, interventional/therapeutic, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and breast imaging areas. Your day-to-day involves assessing patient needs, initiating appropriate interventions, and providing thorough explanations to patients and families. You will collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare colleagues to ensure the effectiveness of care, maintaining rigorous documentation in patient charts.
