As a competent Nurse at CHRISTUS Health, you will practice independently within a clinical setting, demonstrating a comprehensive awareness of complex situations. This role is designed for professionals who can manage long-range goals, navigate clinical contingencies, and effectively delegate tasks to optimize patient care. You will serve as a vital link in the continuum of care, addressing the increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
Your day-to-day responsibilities involve utilizing the nursing process to provide both routine and complex care. From assessing learning needs to educating patients and caregivers, you will ensure that care plans are evidence-based and tailored to individual requirements. You will also play a key role in unit operations, managing patient flow, ensuring the proper use of medical equipment, and maintaining a safe environment through strict adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

To join our team, candidates must hold a current RN License in the state of employment or a compact state, along with a valid BLS certification. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and one year of experience in a related nursing specialty are preferred. All associates are required to obtain necessary certifications within the designated timeframe in accordance with CHRISTUS Health policies.
