This position serves as a critical operational leader responsible for the day-to-day coordination of healthcare services across multiple correctional facilities in the region. Acting as the primary conduit between field operations and the corporate office, the role ensures the highest quality clinical care is delivered to inmates by strategically allocating healthcare funds to serve the greatest number of individuals effectively.
The role exists to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and operational efficiency. You will provide guidance, direction, and support to Healthcare Site Administrators (HSAs), ensuring clinical staff are properly trained and equipped to deliver care. This involves managing personnel, overseeing financial aspects of facility healthcare programs, and maintaining strict adherence to contract requirements, policies, and regulations.
Your work will be a dynamic mix of strategic oversight and hands-on management. You will regularly conduct site visits to discuss issues, opportunities, and performance metrics with facility staff. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to reviewing clinical and operating metrics, evaluating HSA performance, and identifying professional development opportunities for your team. You will serve as the liaison between HSAs and the executive team, ensuring seamless communication and the sharing of best practices.
You will also manage key operating metrics including staffing, schedules, payroll, labor, supply, and pharmacy costs. This includes authorizing equipment purchases, monitoring compliance with staffing plans, and assisting with the development of annual operating plans. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with business development teams on contract renewals, engage with outside community medical partners, and maintain strong working relationships with Sheriff's staff, custody personnel, and medical teams.
Residence in either Texas or New Mexico is required. This role involves weekly travel to various facilities within your assigned region to ensure consistent oversight and support.
Candidates selected for this position must successfully pass a background check and a pre-employment drug test. All selected employees will undergo mandatory security training and orientation on facility safety policies and procedures before beginning work.
Work is performed inside correctional facilities, where employees may be exposed to some level of risk, including blood-borne pathogens. We expect all employees to work in accordance with all security rules and regulations to minimize risk to themselves and others.
We are committed to a culture of dignity and respect. Every member of the CorrHealth team, correctional personnel, inmates, and third parties must be treated with proper dignity. Actions or communications that are inappropriate or degrading will not be tolerated. Employees must comply with all current and future State, Federal, and Local laws, court orders, and standards set by professional organizations such as the ACA and NCCHC.
