This position serves as a critical hub for hospital operations, providing oversight and decision-making authority regarding patient flow. You will direct and coordinate bed control, managing all admissions and transfers within the hospital while overseeing parallel processing of Environmental Services (EVS) and transport operations.
In this role, you will act as a liaison between the multi-disciplinary team, determining the best course of action for patients, physicians, and the hospital. Your day-to-day involves coordinating triage, registration, and communication for transfer and consultation requests, ensuring that patient room assignments align with diagnosis, acuity, and overall flow. You will also facilitate professional relationships between leadership, medical staff, and nursing units to support organizational goals and patient-centered care.
