About the Role
This position is based on the 3C Surgical Unit, which specializes in adult post-operative orthopedic traumas and Neurosurgery. In this role, you will utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care while maintaining professional accountability for your assigned patients. You will evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Your duties include maintaining patient rights and ensuring the confidentiality of patient information, all performed in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop excellent critical thinking and assessment skills while utilizing a wide variety of clinical skills in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Shift Details
The position operates on a 7p-7a schedule, including every other weekend and rotational holidays. The unit offers various shift options, including Weekend Option Days and Nights, which provide additional differentials for qualifying hours between 3pm and 7am.
