About the Role

We are seeking an RN for our Surgery-PRN team to join a culture of mutual respect and collaboration. In this dynamic role, you will be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team consisting of providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists. Your day will involve evaluating patients prior to surgery, managing evidence-based practices, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy and surgical site verification, while participating in critical safety protocols such as briefings, time-outs, and debriefs. A key part of your day involves rounding with unit leaders to ensure your voice is heard regarding patient care and workflow improvements. You will also provide essential education to patients and families regarding procedures, medical conditions, and follow-up measures, ensuring they are supported throughout their journey.

To support your success, we offer self-preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for predictability, along with continuous investment in surgical equipment and instruments to ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency. On-call availability during select non-business hours is required.
