This position serves the medical cardiac population, managing patients with chronic and acute onset diseases. You will utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive care for individuals with multisystem needs, including heart failure, respiratory distress, unmanageable dysrhythmias, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes, and gastro-intestinal conditions.
Your day-to-day involves balancing the need for telemetry and cardiac management while coordinating care with other departments. You will evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and manage patients requiring specialized therapies such as cath lab, angio, dialysis, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation treatments. You will maintain professional accountability for the provision of care to your assigned patients.
