This position is for a Registered Nurse within the specialized Thoracic/Vascular team at a 1,000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital. The team manages a diverse patient population including transplant, trauma, and neuro cases, covering a wide array of surgical specialties such as cardiothoracic, vascular, robotic, and hybrid procedures.
The role requires a nurse with specific proficiency in endovascular cases, capable of scrubbing for complex surgeries ranging from liver and renal transplants to burn care and lead extraction. Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of experience in this specific field and prior travel experience. This is a contract position with guaranteed hours over a 91-week term.
The team operates on 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that specific days during the week may vary based on unit needs, and a block schedule cannot be offered. Nurses in this role may be required to stay late depending on the demands of the unit. While the primary focus is the Thoracic/Vascular team, the role may involve floating within the Operating Room but not between different hospital locations.
Candidates must hold a valid TN or compact license and relevant certifications on file at the time of submission. Orientation is scheduled for June 1st, June 22nd, and June 29th only. There will be no orientation sessions during the weeks of June 8th and June 15th.
