About the Role

In this position, you will utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care for a diverse caseload. You will maintain professional accountability for the patients assigned to you while evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Your role involves coordinating patient care in conjunction with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

You will be part of the 5B unit, a 32-bed department specializing in various GYN surgical procedures, bariatric weight loss surgeries, colon resections, and general medical patients. The unit also serves patients with GYN conditions, GYN/Oncology, Obstetrical Complications, and Mother/Baby Couplets. Working the 1830 to 0700 shift, you will navigate alternating weekends and holidays, managing nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 and PCA-to-patient ratios of 1:6-8.
