This position is based onsite at the UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado, within the Hematology Clinic. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care in a medical/physician office setting, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. You will collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, ensuring that patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs are met effectively.
The role requires critical thinking and decisive judgment to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Additionally, you will evaluate the learning needs of patients and families, providing education appropriate to their age, culture, condition, and circumstances. The position also offers the opportunity to delegate care to ancillary personnel and precept student nurses and new hires.
