The Community Training Center operates within the Hospital and departmental framework to support operational components across a diverse patient population. This Registered Nurse position serves as a dynamic educator and change agent within the nursing professional development (NPD) specialty. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for staff across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
In this role, you will act as a consultant and educational resource, establishing collegial partnerships with leaders, stakeholders, and peers. Your day-to-day work involves identifying practice gaps, analyzing trends, and designing instructional curricula that integrate the latest research findings. You will champion patient safety by proactively questioning current processes and encouraging staff to actively participate in their own care. As a role model, you will demonstrate leadership by creating a healthy work environment, promoting scientific inquiry, and ensuring that educational initiatives drive quality outcomes and operational efficiency.
Candidates selected for this position will be required to obtain specific credentials within designated timeframes, including CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days and an appropriate Age Appropriate Instructor Certification (CPR, ALS, or ILS) within 6 months. Tuberculosis testing will be completed upon hire and as required by hospital policy.
