The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a professional caregiver within the Carle Cath Lab, assuming responsibility for a group of patients throughout their designated time frame. This role is vital for facilitating excellent patient care by utilizing the nursing process, current trends, and advanced technology. The Cath Lab performs exciting and innovative procedures, including Diagnostic Cardiac Cath, PTCA interventions, TAVR, Left Atrial Appendage Closure, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular procedures such as Peripheral Angiography and PTA.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with physicians, Prep/Recovery staff, and Procedure Lab members to ensure seamless care delivery. You will provide 1:1 patient care to adults undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, managing everything from initial assessments to post-procedure recovery. The role requires performing hemodynamic monitoring, identifying life-threatening arrhythmias, and administering moderate sedation safely. You will act as a safety advocate, participating in quality improvement projects and evidence-based practice initiatives while adapting to emergent situations within a supportive, collaborative team environment.
