About the Role
TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Cath Lab RN in Sacramento, California. This is a 13-week travel contract based at a tertiary referral center. You will provide expert peri-procedural nursing care for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, scrubbing and assisting during high-acuity cardiac interventions, including TAVR and MitraClip cases.
The role requires you to respond quickly and confidently to STEMI and chest pain activations as part of a collaborative team including intensivists, IV teams, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and CV/Rad techs. You will maintain accurate Cath Lab documentation using Cerner and Merge Hemodynamics while ensuring radiation safety practices are followed. The position involves a rotating schedule of 12-hour day shifts, with a requirement to be on-call one night per week and up to every other weekend.

Requirements
- verifiedActive RN license in California
- verifiedMinimum 2 years relevant clinical nursing experience
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification
- verifiedCurrent ACLS certification
- verifiedNIHSS certification
- verifiedAssociate Degree in Nursing or BSN
- verifiedProficiency with Cerner and Merge Hemodynamics
- verifiedAbility to wear radiation badge
Nice to Have
Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience. Scrub experience in the Cath Lab. Familiarity with high-acuity cardiac devices and procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, Impella, IVUS, Rotablator, Shockwave, and Balloon Pump.
