Our department is highly specialized in the care of all solid organ transplants, including kidney, liver, pancreas, and heart/lung procedures, as well as thoracic surgery and hepatology. We are pioneers in liver transplantation, boasting extensive experience with living donor liver transplants. As the only academic medical center with a dedicated Transplant specialty unit in the Rocky Mountain region, we operate at the forefront of advanced surgical care.
You will join a dynamic team dedicated to improving lives through learning, healing, and discovery. In this role, you will provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care within specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units characterized by moderate to high patient acuity. Working in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment, you will prioritize wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice.
Your day will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes while modeling proficiency by precepting those new to healthcare or UCHealth. Clinical Educators will support you with individualized specialty education and training to ensure competency validation throughout your orientation. You will contribute to securing safety and quality at the point of care, embracing new knowledge as you navigate the complexities of transplant and acute care nursing.
