About the Role

Located at UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs, this Registered Nurse position serves the Medical Surgical North department. This is an onsite role within a 24/7 acute care environment, operating on a night shift schedule. The position requires a full-time commitment of 72 hours per pay period.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care at a proficient level, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessments to optimize outcomes and maximize resources. The role demands critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals, while also evaluating learning needs to provide appropriate education to patients and families. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to precept student nurses and new hires.
