About the Role

This position is located at the UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs, CO, within the PACU Same Day Surgery department. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to the organization's policies, values, and mission. You will monitor patients to maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes, and maximize available resources within a technically complex setting.

You will be responsible for performing and documenting pre- and post-procedure assessments, evaluations, and patient education. The role requires the ability to respond decisively to life-threatening situations using nursing standards and protocols, maintaining composure in critical and highly stressful environments. You will evaluate the learning needs of patients and families, providing education appropriate to their age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Success in this fast-paced environment demands critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
