Creighton University School of Medicine, in partnership with CHI Health, invites applications from fellowship-trained Rhinologists and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeons to join our growing Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in Omaha, NE. This is a unique chance to help shape the future of otolaryngology in the region as we develop a new and expanding academic department.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic group of academic surgeons within a large, established referral base and a wide-reaching integrated health care system. This role offers a remarkable leadership opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a new residency program, led by our founding Department Chair, while building upon existing strengths such as a cohesive metro-wide health care system and a robust skull base program.
You will practice in an academic tertiary care setting, collaborating closely with a highly collaborative neurosurgical team for complex skull base cases. The position offers the chance to work alongside sister programs in adult and pediatric head and neck surgery, including Nebraska Methodist Health System and Children's Nebraska. The department currently boasts five faculty members covering general otolaryngology, head and neck surgery with microvascular reconstruction, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, and laryngology, supported by a robust infrastructure of five APPs, five audiologists, and dedicated nursing and administrative staff.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic interest and a desire to educate and participate in research. The department provides institutional support for clinical, translational, and outcomes-based research, with access to biostatistics and clinical trial infrastructure.
Interested candidates should submit their application materials to the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Please note that this is an open-rank academic appointment (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) commensurate with experience and career stage.
