About the Role
We are seeking a Class B Driver (Retail Technician) in San Diego, CA, to provide comprehensive environmental services. In this role, you will collect and dispose of damaged, discarded, or recalled products, recycle materials such as light bulbs and oil filters, and perform on-site cleanup activities. You will drive a box truck to retail customer sites, including Fortune 500 companies, to load, pack, and segregate waste products for safe transportation.
This position involves a day-to-day rhythm of 10-12 hour shifts with significant overtime. You will interact directly with customers at each stop, prepare DOT shipping documents, and utilize technology like laptops, handhelds, and iPhones to complete tasks. Occasional travel to El Centro is required, with hotel and per diem provided by the company. While a valid driver's license is required, the company will pay for your CDL Class B training, including hazmat and tanker endorsements, to be obtained within six months of hire.
Hiring Process
Candidates must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical. Please note that due to OSHA Respiratory Protection standards, facial hair restrictions may apply for positions requiring respirators.
