About the Role

We are seeking a Class B Driver (Retail Technician) based in San Diego, CA, to provide comprehensive environmental services. In this role, you will drive a box truck to visit retail customer sites, including Fortune 500 companies, to pick up, pack, and transport damaged goods, discarded items, and recalled products.

Your day will involve loading, packing, and segregating materials and waste products for safe transportation. You will interact directly with customers at each stop, prepare DOT shipping documents, and ensure all projects comply with site-specific Federal, State, and local regulations. You will also use a laptop, printer, handheld device, and iPhone to complete tasks and ensure drum counts and conditions meet company policies before shipment.

This position requires 10-12 hour days with a significant amount of overtime. Occasional travel to El Centro is required, with hotel and per diem provided by the company. General labor is a core component of the job.

Hiring Process & Application

Clean Harbors will pay for your CDL Class B training. We are looking for candidates who are eligible to obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsements within 6 months of hire. The recruitment process includes a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
