Retail Technician (CDL) Class B Route Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a Class B Driver (Retail Technician) based in San Diego, CA, to provide comprehensive environmental services. In this role, you will collect and dispose of damaged, discarded, or recalled products, recycle materials such as light bulbs, oil, and engine fluids, and perform on-site cleanup activities. You will drive a box truck to visit retail customer sites, including Fortune 500 companies, interacting with customers at each stop to ensure their specific disposal needs are met.

This position involves a dynamic day-to-day routine. You will be responsible for loading, packing, and segregating waste products and inventory for safe transportation, as well as preparing DOT shipping documents. The role requires the use of technology, including laptops, printers, handheld devices, and iPhones, to complete tasks and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. While the schedule typically involves 10-12 hour days with significant overtime, the company offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and covers the cost of your CDL Class B training, including hazmat and tanker endorsements.

Occasional travel to El Centro is required, with hotel accommodations and per diem provided by the company. This is a general labor role where physical functions are a key part of the job, and safety is the number one priority.

Hiring Process

Candidates must be eligible to obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsements within six months of hire. The selection process includes a background check, drug test, and physical examination. Please note that by position, you must meet facial hair standards in accordance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard.
