About the Role

As a Restorative Nursing Aide at the GSS SD Tyndall Center, you will serve as a dedicated caregiver to residents during scheduled day shifts. This role is designed to help residents maintain their highest functional level of independence and improve their quality of life.

You will work as an integral member of the nursing team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your day involves implementing therapeutic activities that incorporate mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises. You will utilize adaptive equipment and apply proper body mechanics to assist with turning, positioning, and fall prevention. The role also includes supporting residents with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and eating, while demonstrating the correct application of therapies like ice, paraffin baths, and heat packets according to state regulations.

Beyond direct care, you will be responsible for obtaining resident reports, documenting progress and behaviors in the EMR, and promptly reporting any changes in a resident's condition. You will adhere strictly to infection prevention policies, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper sanitation protocols.

Hiring Process

Candidates must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State Board of Nursing. Depending on specific facility responsibilities, this role may require a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle report. All offers are contingent upon passing a drug screen and pre-employment background screening.
