The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) serves as a vital member of the Cardiopulmonary team at Resurrection Medical Center, delivering high-acuity respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic services in a critical care environment. This role is designed for professionals who thrive in advanced respiratory cases, managing ventilators, airway systems, and complex patient care plans across all populations. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to drive patient outcomes, responding to code blue and rapid response events while documenting care in the EMR.
Located in the Chicago Metro Area, this position offers the unique opportunity to enjoy a big-city lifestyle and lakefront living without the need for a car. The role operates on a 36-hour weekly schedule (three 12-hour shifts) with a focus on nights, providing a fast-paced environment ideal for experienced practitioners seeking career growth within a large healthcare system.
