About the Role
We are seeking a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Care team at Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, NC. In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Manager to administer a variety of simple and complex treatments and tests as directed by physicians. You will collaborate with the medical director and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized treatment plans.
Your day will involve the competent delivery of all routine and emergent respiratory care services, ensuring the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension. You will act as a patient advocate, incorporating education into the interdisciplinary care plan and explaining the purpose and procedures of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients. You will prioritize duties according to patient needs and changing acuity levels, ensuring timely completion of care interventions and medical orders.
In critical care areas, you will demonstrate independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care, managing ventilators, participating in code blues, handling airway management, and interpreting blood gas analysis. You will record all pertinent information regarding treatments and patient responses in the patient's chart.
Location and Schedule
This position is located at Brunswick Medical Center, 240 Hospital Drive NE, Bolivia, North Carolina 28442. The schedule is PRN as needed, with shifts running from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
