About the Role
We are seeking a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Care team at Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, NC. In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Manager and collaborate with the medical director and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized treatment plans. Your primary focus will be the competent delivery of all routine and emergent respiratory care services, ensuring the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will administer a variety of simple and complex treatments and tests as directed by physicians. You will act as a patient advocate, incorporating education into the interdisciplinary care plan and explaining the purpose and procedures of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients. The role requires prioritizing duties according to patient needs and changing acuity levels to ensure timely completion of care interventions.
In critical care settings, you will demonstrate independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care. Responsibilities include ventilator management, code blue response, airway management, and the interpretation and intervention with blood gas analysis. You will also evaluate patient needs to provide appropriate routine respiratory care, such as bronchial hygiene therapy, while practicing according to state requirements and standards.
Work Schedule and Location
This is a PRN position located at Brunswick Medical Center (240 Hospital Drive NE, Bolivia, North Carolina 28442). The typical schedule runs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
