The Respiratory Therapist (Ventilator Support) serves as a Field Clinician delivering specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This role is designed for those passionate about bridging the gap between hospital and home, combining hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to support safe, coordinated, and high-quality outcomes.
In this position, you will act as a clinical resource, participating in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for highly technical patients. You will demonstrate and instruct patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on ventilator units and proper equipment use, while conducting clinical in-services for hospital staff and referral sources. Your work ensures accurate documentation and communication, fostering a collaborative environment to resolve issues and optimize patient outcomes.
