About the Role

As a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) on our Acute Care team, you will be a vital part of our patient care delivery. This role focuses on assisting respiratory therapists in preparing for and providing comprehensive patient care. You will be responsible for delivering routine therapy as delegated, responding to codes and calls for emergent assistance, and assessing patient conditions to deliver appropriate treatment.

Your day will involve monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions while educating patients and their families about illnesses and connecting them with community support groups. You will also manage respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders, maintain storage areas, and ensure equipment is disassembled, cleaned, sterilized, and calibrated for preventative maintenance. This position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.
